Crash Repairs Elizabeth

About Elizabeth

Elizabeth is an Adelaide outer northern suburb located in the City of Playford. Before the 1950s, the area surrounding the area now known as Elizabeth was predominantly farming land and it wasn't until after the end of the Second World War that Elizabeth was founded. It was due to South Australia's shortage of materials, that the state government decided to establish Elizabeth to respond to the states need to grow and become industrialised.

A "satellite city" was planned for the Elizabeth area, along with a housing development program resulting in the purchase of 3,000 acres of rural land situated between the older suburbs Salisbury and Smithfield. Formed on 16 November 1955, Elizabeth was named after Queen Elizabeth II, who visited South Australia and the suburb in 1963.
