About Dry Creek
Dry Creek is a predominantly industrial suburb in Adelaides North, containing wetlands and area formerly devoted to salt crystallisation pans. The Salt pans were managed by Ridley Corporation, who now plan to redevelop the site for housing. Dry creek was the former site of the soapworks factory belonging to W. H. Burford & Son from 1923, which was located adjacent to Dry Creek's railway station. Prior to the soapworks, the factory was used for smelting ore from Broken Hill. (more info)
