About Bolivar
Bolivar is one of Adelaides outer northern suburbs and is located in the City of Salisbury, beside the Barker Inlet, bounded by the Little Para River and Port Wakefield Road. Established in 1956, Bolivar was named after the General Bolivar Hotel built by Walter Walpole, who was a settler who arrived in South Australia in 1850 on board the sailing ship Bolivar. The 2006 Census counted 119 persons in Bolivar on census night with 94.1% of residents aged over 25 years. (more info)
